Date night, birthday celebration, or maybe you just don’t feel like cooking. People go out to eat for many different reasons. Now there’s a new reason to go out to eat in St. Joseph, the First Annual Restaurant Week presented by Joe Town Fun and the St. Joseph Chamber of Commerce.
Over the past few decades, events like this have grown nationwide. It started in New York City in 1992 and the model has been followed by cities big and small all over the county. It is traditionally held during the slowest period of the year for the industry and a great way to encourage people to support local businesses. Those in the community are encouraged to try new restaurants and revisit long-time favorites.
St. Joseph will have a number of local favorites participating including Huckleberry, D&G Pub & Grub, Cafe Pony Espresso, Adams Bar & Grill, Pappy’s Grill & Pub, Felix Street Gourmet, Experience Room 108, Fredrick Inn Steak House and St. Jo Frontier Casino.
Who knows, you might try a new restaurant that you never thought of going to before or you may visit the restaurant you could eat every meal at. Either way, your supporting local businesses. Visit one or all the restaurants and have fun supporting businesses in our community.
