Seven Branches, One Message
Union State Bank wanted a way to unite their seven branches under a single logo and message, yet honor each individual community location. USB also wanted to demonstrate their commitment to offering the latest technology to customers.
Looking Ahead While Celebrating the Past
SJC Marketing conducted research and focus groups, translating their findings into a new comprehensive branding approach. SJC developed a new logo, branding guide, signage designs, clothing, advertising and a website.
The new design was centered on a new tagline, “Rich in Community.” The new logo was comprised of two elements through a concept called ‘reaching and rooted.” It symbolizes a focus on offering the most advanced tools and resources while never losing sight of the local community that USB serves.

A Re-Introduction to the Community
Signage with the new logo was installed at all USB locations: Everest, Atchison, Horton, McLouth and Oskaloosa, Kansas; and Gower and Plattsburg in Missouri. SJC continues to handle brand management for USB, with website content, local public relations, campaign concepts and customer outreach.
SJC also manages all print and radio ads across their seven local communities, ensuring that each community that USB serves knows how valued it is by the bank.
