Niche of Time Jewelry is a staple business in our community that is known for its fine jewelry and unique custom pieces. Their staff is dedicated to educating themselves and truly being the experts when it comes to diamonds and gemstones in St. Joseph. They have a reputation of 70 years of high-quality, Old World craftsmanship, integrity, and remarkable customer service.
Owners Mark and Jamie Segrist like to create an atmosphere full of fun for their staff and their customers. While they maintain a professional business in St. Joseph, Jamie likes to add a little additional sparkle to the business with one of her favorite hobbies, clowning. Jamie enjoys donning the make full make-up and quirky costumes, from the red nose to the big shoes, to brighten the day of everyone who gets the pleasure of being in her presence that day. She continues to add to her costume closet with each character and personality that she creates for special events.
One of the ways that Jamie gets to share her love for clowning with others is through community involvement. In 2021, to celebrate International Clown Week, Jamie dressed as one of her favorite clowns Miss Dot and spread the love to local businesses in St. Joe. That included getting a cupcake named after her at 3 Wishes Bakery, holding sweet pups at Fantastic Fidos, picking out the perfect plant at The Unique Unicorn and doing a fun project at AR Workshop.
Jamie is not the only one at Niche of Time who lets her personality shine. In fact, the staff often gets to show their personality on their social media platforms while showcasing their beautiful pieces of jewelry. In the past they have been seen singing popular holiday classics, dressing up in costume for Halloween and sporting Chiefs colors on a Red Friday. Even the store has a personality of its own when it is decorated to perfection for each holiday season.
And we cannot forget their favorite furry friend, Charlie the dog. Charlie can often be seen in the store greeting customers while wearing fashionable holiday attire or a perfect little black Niche of Time t-shirt.
Mark and Jamie have truly added something a little extra to be known not only for their jewelry, but also for their whimsical personality that adds to the customer experience. They’ve truly created a jewelry store that is unlike any other.
