LinkedIn Marketing Tips for Better Brand Recognition

Become a thought leader in your field with these LinkedIn marketing tips.

Looking for a tool to get the word out about your business? Leverage the hundreds of millions of members on LinkedIn to get the attention your company deserves. With just a few LinkedIn marketing tips, you can start building a reputation for your brand and learn more about your industry.

Feel the Pulse

Getting your content published is a perfect way to establish yourself as a thought leader in your field. LinkedIn has a resource called Pulse where you can publish your articles and blogs. Not only will you reach a wider audience, but you’ll also build a reputation. It’s also super easy to use because LinkedIn will notify your connections when you publish a post.

Top Pulse Tips:

  • Use LinkedIn’s editorial calendar for easy management
  • Share industry insights, because a majority of users now want this from you
  • Publish between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday
  • Use an image
  • Post often

Be sure to build quality content that you know your target audience will find valuable.

Get with the Group

Carry your knowledge of your field to LinkedIn groups where discussions take place. Create your own group if you want, but you are encouraged to join groups where members are already established.

You can share your knowledge, but you also learn a lot from other members in your industry. You can also use the groups to send messages. Any member who is signed up for LinkedIn Announcements will get your messages in their email inboxes. LinkedIn marketing strategies get a huge boost with groups, as they allow you to stay active.

Do Research

What are your competitors up to? Are they doing something you’re not and finding success? What about their employees? Get more information on their background, level of education, etc., through LinkedIn. You can get some ideas from them by following their news feed and finding areas where you can improve.

Promotions

If you’re looking to get the word out about something you’ve done, a new product or service, LinkedIn is the place to do it. However, don’t get too “salesy” on this platform. Ideally, you’ll want less than 20% of your content to be promotional in nature.

Partner with a Professional

Dialing in your social media strategy is intimidating, but you can bypass the hardships by working with a professional.
