Advocating Against Abuse
Serving children between the ages of two and 17, the Northwest Missouri Children’s Advocacy Center provides free services to prevent further trauma in abused children. They offer a safe environment for abuse disclosure, protection and counseling.
Shifting the Focus
In an effort to shift the focus to empowering children to have a strong voice in the face of abuse, the advocacy organization wanted to rebrand, with a new name and logo, plus new messaging. The goal was to design a logo that would portray child empowerment while promoting an image that was simple, contemporary and timeless.
In addition to a new logo, the organization needed a website refresh. The new design would include the new brand colors and visual language, as well as featuring images of children, joyful and thriving in their environments.
Voices of Courage Child Advocacy Center
Northwest Missouri Children’s Advocacy Center changed its name to Voices of Courage Child Advocacy Center. A new logo was debuted that features the silhouette of a child within the silhouette of a lion. The message is clear: the voices of children are powerful.
A new website design also communicates this message, adding in details about how the organization fights to prevent further victimization of children through the mishandling of their accounts. Under vibrant pictures of children laughing and playing together, visitors can easily identify and access the resources they need to learn more about Voices of Courage
