Comfort of Home Healthcare was created because of the personal experiences of two families with a need for around-the-clock care in their homes. Co-owners Jason Douglas and Tad Ulmer both felt that there was a desire in the community for more support for families who were unable to provide the care for their loved ones that they deserved. This was the foundation on which Comfort of Home Healthcare was started: in-home care that was different than anything else that was available. Today, Comfort of Home Healthcare provides high-quality in-home care for seniors and individuals with disabilities in St. Joseph and Kansas City.
While their clients are primarily homebound, Comfort of Home Healthcare wants to provide activities for those who are able to go outside of the home. Caregivers do weekly date nights where they can take their clients out to eat and outings where they can do fun activities like going for walks, bowling or taking in a Mustangs game. This provides opportunities for clients to be in their community and have experiences that may otherwise not be possible for them.
