For thousands of years, chocolate has been celebrated as a natural gift refined by human artistry. Its velvety richness has captivated the taste buds and satisfied the ever-persistent sweet tooth time and time again. Whether you enjoy a simple square of classic dark chocolate, a meticulously crafted confection or even a mug of hot cocoa, the taste of chocolate you will want to check out Chocolate. This new artisan chocolate and coffee shop has opened at 1207 Frederick Avenue with treats to satisfy every chocolate lover.
Opened by Diana Hartzler, the owner of Café Belle Epoque, Chocolat delights with pastries, specialty coffee, and, of course, an array of chocolate treats. Although the small shop had a soft opening in mid-August, it’s gearing up for a grand opening in October. From chocolate-covered espresso beans and alcohol-infused, hand-dipped ganaches to rich chocolatey drinks, coffees, pastries, muffins and more, Chocolat aims to win the hearts of chocolate enthusiasts and coffee connoisseurs alike.
Hartzler, already the owner of a successful café, aims to create a fun, vibrant and relaxed atmosphere for her customers. By combining the delectable flavors of chocolate and coffee in one charming space, she hopes to offer a truly unique experience. With its inviting ambiance and artisanal offerings, Chocolat is set to become a haven where customers can unwind, savor expertly crafted treats and enjoy a moment of indulgence in a warm, welcoming setting.
So, next time you need a coffee to get you through the day, your sweet tooth is acting up, or both, give Chocolat a try. Between freshly-baked muffins, hand-crafted chocolate treats, specialty coffees, a friendly staff and a cozy, welcoming ambiance, you’re sure to enjoy your experience.
Currently open from 7a.m.-2p.m. each day, Chocolat plans to become an integral part of St. Joseph’s small business landscape and steal the hearts of treat-cravers from all around. Stay on the lookout for more information about its grand opening in October… they’re just getting started.
