Missouri has one of the most beautiful and robust state park systems in the entire United States. With 93 state parks and historic sites stretched across the Show-Me State, there is something for everyone to enjoy. From hiking and camping to fishing, boating, sightseeing, museum visiting and picnicking, Missouri State Parks has it all. In fact, Missouri’s state parks and historic sites attract an average of 18 million visitors each year and Missouri is one of the few states where the parks are free to visit. So how is it that SJC Marketing helped such a beloved state organization shine?

Missouri State Parks cares deeply about sharing its story with audiences in Missouri and neighboring states. Because user experience and park accessibility are of utmost importance, Missouri State Parks decided it was time to give their website a refresh. SJC Marketing was selected to help design and develop the new website experience, and right along with it came the need for professional photography and videography to help tell the story of Missouri State Parks.

SJC Marketing’s photographers had the pleasure of driving across the state, capturing breathtaking sunsets, fun family outings, historic sites, scenic river bluffs and popular hiking trails. Our team made its way to all 93 state parks and historic sites, shooting anything and everything that shared one simple message: Missouri State Parks are for everyone. And they really are.

Our photography and videography team produced an incredible collection of photos and footage, making us want to pack our bags and hit the road every time we scrolled through them. Every park had its own story to tell, and every stop offered something unique to capture.

Whether it’s a trout-filled river at Bennett Spring State Park, the remains of a historic castle at Ha Ha Tonka State Park, a 19th-century textile mill at Watkins Mill State Historic Site or the caves at Onondaga State Park, our team perfectly encapsulated what this “flyover state” really has to offer, all in just a few months. We’re a bit jealous of our visual team, and incredibly proud of the assets they came back with.
The Missouri State Parks website is set to go live this summer, including an entirely updated interface and layout. And yes, all these amazing visuals will be there for users to enjoy as they explore each park’s page.
